Stitch-work is the mostly true tale assembled from a life of bizarre experiences typed down in story format. The book is the tale of Jake who unknowingly in the pursuit of a woman wanders into a underworld ruled by madness decadence sex drugs and half-truths. For Jake soon the line between reality and arranged fantasy begins to blur.
Eventually through a simple social mistake incurs the wrath of a psychotic clown who commits suicide only before framing Jake for the torture and murder of a girl in his apartment while he's forced to watch the entire gruesome event. From here angry and on the run from the police Jake pursues the strange truth behind this event. This journey only brings Jake deeper down into the nightmarish dreamscape that in his most twisted thought never believed could be true.
This new life Jake is forced into is becoming more and more mixed with his unconscious mind as it becomes increasingly flooded with the insanity of an elusive character which has made it clear it has plans for Jake. In the end the entrenched psychosis of the nightmares merges with reality revealing jakes place in the grand scheme of things.
