Martha A. Crawford was reared a preacher's daughter in a rural community in Mississippi. Her life was greatly influenced by the folk living in and near the community she called home. In her adult life, she has applied much of what these people taught her.
The author has several special things she loves to do besides writing and reading. Martha loves to paint in oil and acrylics. She cherishes a few pieces of her art, sells some, and gives others away to friends and family. Among other things she enjoys is tending to her rose garden and vegetable garden. Another special hobby is embroidering butterflies on ladies' white cloth handkerchiefs. Martha loves to play the piano, organ, and dulcimer.
Upon graduating from Blue Mountain College with a degree in Medical Technology, Martha worked in a hospital lab until going back to college to take education courses. A twenty-five year career of teaching science in high school followed. After finishing her teaching career, she became co-owner of a pottery business with her husband Ray.
Martha stays busy with speaking engagements in churches, organizations, and ladies' conferences. Her main goal is to encourage others: "DON'T GIVE UP! KEEP GOING!" In this day and time, the pressures of life get in the way and we find ourselves losing hope, motivation, and the desire to press on to another day. It is the author's goal to spread hope to the many discouraged person's throughout our land.
Martha has authored another book called "THE BINDING PLACE", which is a Christian novel.

I pray you will gain strength to carry on through life with a more determined spiritual attitude. There are 52 devotionals included in this book. Please follow the daily outline you will find in the preface.
Let me encourage each of you to press on, keep your eyes on Christ, and never give up-just keep going until the Lord's return for you.
