Raised between the UK and East Asia, Markus Taylor has lived and worked throughout the Asian region, as an Educator, Reporter and Travel Guide writer.

Between "Both Worlds," as the West were he was raised, often collides with the East were he spent most of his life. This led him to write about the experiences and things he saw in the region, particularly Jakarta; One of East Asia's biggest yet least known Cities.

"Tales from the Big Durian".. Is his first book, currently published as an ebook, Markus Taylor hopes that readers can experience through the collection of stories in the book, what it actually feels like to live in an often surreal City nicknamed the "Big Durian."
