Preface
As my poetry book, "Musings"
was well received in all circles,
it has given me the courage
to bring out one more.
Now I realize
I need not hesitate
in writing poetry
and can say with certainty
that there are plenty of people
out there
to welcome it,
to appreciate it
regarding it as the highest pleasure and adventure.
When the mind is curious
it knows only one course -
to probe more questions
to seek more answers.
Taking evolution forward
Man must take evolution forward
or he has no business on the earth.
With a lowly life he cannot remain content
or the monkey would be better than him.
He's been given a mind and body
to complete the task nobly.
He should not shirk his responsibility
but evolve into a transcendent being quietly.
His business here is not to crawl
but to walk tall.
Among all the beings on earth
he is best suited for the work.
Age cannot be hidden
Whatever be our age,
it cannot be hidden from the public eye.
Whatever we may do,
it cannot be concealed.
At some point of time
it will stand revealed.
Try however hard we might
it will stand exposed.
Sooner or later
through the skin, teeth or hair,
when age decides to show up
nothing can obstruct it.
Everything a man may recover
Everything a man may recover
except hair lost to nature.
He may try any oil on his pate
but it'll not return to its original state.
The best he can do about it
is not to worry in the least.
For if he worries
he will see a greater loss.
As hair tends to fall down
when it meets with strain.
So it's better he be satisfied with what he has
rather than be dissatisfied with what is gone.
The making of a terrorist's mind
There is a false notion
that everything can be solved through the gun.
That is the premise
on which terrorism rests.
With a heart full of hate
and a weapon in hand,
the terrorist appears so far removed
from humankind.
He presents the picture
of humanity at its worst,
for he has no hesitation
in killing innocents,
and to make his point
he goes to any length.
