Chapter 2.
Spirituality
A world of energy
Many scientists have predicted that there is life out there. What they have yet to see is the life standing right before us. There are numerous accounts of the supernatural, and recorded findings of such. The problem is that we have yet to explain it. Reports of angels, demons, ghosts and other apparitions extend for generations back in time. So what are they exactly? Why are they here? Is our world a world within a world? Does it take a spirit to recognize what our human senses cannot often perceive. We use the terms sixth sense and woman's intuition, what are they really? How is it that some of us are born with information that we could not possibly know? Gifted with knowledge beyond our years? Some call this an old soul but what is the correlation with the soul and the body? If reincarnation exists than why do we come back? Is it to learn lessons that we cannot in the spiritual world? With the good comes the bad for with pleasure comes pain, ecstasy, misery is it to go beyond a limited sensory perception and experience further the world around us? The feel of the heat of the sun, the chill of a night's breeze. A balance for without light we would not know darkness. There is more to it though, we are surrounded by a world of energy. Finally something the scientists and the spiritualists can agree upon, lol! Are demons creatures that take energy while angels are ones that give? Even a chessboard is black and white giving us an example of how the two could exist together. It is rumored that demons thrive on chaos and what better way to create chaos and feed off a ripple of energy than by feeding off of the horrors of humanity. Doing something good won't cause a stir but murder will get you the front page news going out to thousands of people to read and think upon. While angels would still theoretically have a source to 'feed' upon, a form of energy far purer than that of humanity, demons would be cut off having to survive off the impure energy of humanity. We've all seen the matrix when Kiano Reeves wakes up to look out on row upon row of humans plugged into a system to feed the machines. Could that be partly true for us already? Do we feed those who are cut off and feed off of those who have more energy? That would keep a constant flow going but for how long? Like the sun an all powerful giver of heat and light the giant supernova will eventually give out it's just a matter of when. For those of you who haven't read this: (those who have can jump to the bottom to take it one step further)
The following is an actual question given on a
University of Washington chemistry mid-term.
The answer by one student was so "profound" that the
professor shared it with colleagues, via the
Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the
pleasure of enjoying it as well :
Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat)
or endothermic (absorbs heat)?
Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs
using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and
heats when it is compressed) or some variant.
> One student, however, wrote the following:
First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is
changing in time. So we need to know the rate at
which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at
which they are leaving. I think that we can safely
assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not
leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how
many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the
different religions that exist in the world today.
Most of these religions state that if you are not a
member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since
there is more than one of these religions and since
people do not belong to more than one religion, we
can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth
and death rates as they are, we can expect the
number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.
Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in
Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for
the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the
same, the volume of Hell has to expand
proportionately as souls are added.
This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the
rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature
and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell
breaks loose.
2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the
increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and
pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.
So which is it?
If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa
during my Freshman year that, "It will be a cold day
in Hell before I sleep with you," and take into
account the fact that I slept with her last night,
then number two must be true, and thus I am sure
that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over.
The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has
frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any
more souls and is therefore, extinct......leaving
only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a
divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa
kept shouting "Oh my God."
THIS STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A
Now let's say hell is expanding on an alarming rate due to the fact that people are not tapping into the energy available to them through god and/or higher power then that would mean that they are left drained of energy and in need of some which they presumably are and if you place someone who is draining energy out of others in a place where there is only people emitting energy (heaven in theory) then wouldn't you have to send them to a place where they wouldn't cause chaos to stir up around them- (hell) so if people are in fact proceeding at an alarming rate to hell wouldn't that cause a black hole? What if the black holes that exist now are merely the places it has already started consuming? Scientifically speaking nothing ever comes out of a black hole but if everything in our world has even a little amount of energy associated with it then wouldn't it merely be fed upon, diminished to bits so to speak? It would also make the theory of Jesus' blood a bit more understandable. To have a willing sacrifice to break free from their body and act as a go between. Being purer he would be able to absorb more energy directly from the source (god). Also being human he would in theory be able to convert it into a form where humans could accept it. Perhaps as we grow and evolve we grow further away from being able to directly correlate with the source (god). Our bodies just can't handle it. If one recounts the story of Moses he was actually able to converse with God/higher power and able to see a glimpse of him. Even in the story it tells how he was only permitted to see a little but even that little bit was so much that his face glowed unbearably bright for a time. He had to wear a veil to cover himself for it was to bright for those around him to set their eyes upon him. Jesus being between now and then the required sacrifice. Now we have progressed even further, is that what it speaks about in the apocalypse? Though the progression perhaps was slowed down by Jesus' appearance and other prophets, will the ever increasing progression of hell eventually take over? In other words the world that lacks energy begins to swallow our world whole. Will such a thing combine heaven and hell? Imagine hell as a cup, now imagine it poured full of chocolate syrup in that cup, now set that down and place an empty cup beside it (keep this one empty) then set another down on the other side of that and pour milk into it. Now what would happen if you were to combine the two? Pour the milk and the chocolate together in the empty cup between them, if you were to continue pouring constantly it would no doubt overflow. Perhaps our world is merely to small to handle the combining of such. Now you have neither mere chocolate nor mere milk rather a combination of the two. A combining of energy I suspect would be much the same, it cannot eat everything if there is a pure source but at the same time if we tap into the energy and feed it directly at the cracks wouldn't it theoretically cause it to push back? Energizing that which has been drained? A war directly related to energy or as others call it good and evil. I suppose the question is that can the 'pure source' take the extra pull of energy and even if it can, will we be able to tap into it as a species? It is impossible to say for sure how this would change the world around us but I suspect it's a theory that will be tested in the time to come. There is one way to align the two. Instead of having newspapers lined with the bad, line them with the good. If good creates chaos then the two sides would align in the same goal once more. They would both be bettering the earth instead of one side damaging it while one seeks to save it. Would humanity accept this though? We do not do well with change, can we change our daily papers to not show our fears but our joys? Even if it is for the sake of our world could people accept this concept in order to save that around them? That is something perhaps only the future may answer.
